anyway. it's quick, but i have always loved the footwork they put into this scene, even if you don't see it most of the time. and in the middle when they show the chi gur it is most excellent.

It may be blasphemy to say that one of the great fight scenes doesn't come from an old Chinese movie, but i'm puttin it out there.

On the Topic of Martial Fight Scenes....NO FRIGGIN' WAY!!

Not even close... You said footworK???? and spoke of KEANU?

I don't even slam Keanu like other people do...I usually defend him in that I KNOW personally how hard it is to film fights. Remember it takes 2 to tango and he's the other part of the equation.

Tony Jaa's fight is awesome because it's ALL DONE IN ONE CONTINOUS SHOT, with NO CUTS. Take that concept straight from "BOOGIE NIGHTS". But the Choreography is just him slamming dudes with powerfull methods. Remember that it is the stuntmen that make him look good.

Still, although power is shown, overall it still doesn't compare to this:

Watch the ENTIRE THING 1st.

It is a PARAMOUNT OF BEAUTY AND A TESTIMONY TO HOW MUCH THIS ART FORM IS NO LONGER IN USE.

It has better footwork and choreography.
Which for those viewers who do not understand Hung Gar...they may not be picking up all the subtleties of the style from watching this.

They make it look easy and it's VERY SKILLED what they are doing. They use most of the major weapons.

Pay particular attention to how Lau Gar Leung uses the chain whip...especially when he puts it away in the middle of the fight and flawlessly brings it out again. IT HAPPENS AROUND 3:20 AND IS SIMPLY AMAZING!!!

Subitai- That is one of my all time favs when it comes to final fights in a movie.

Franky- That is a classic and shows many Hung Hand techniques.

I'm going to post this as one of my all time favorite partner fight scenes. Also this is one of my favorite Lo Lieh Versus fights.
