Hey! asmo ! Just because you are polite, friendly and reasonable it doesn’t make you right!

It used to make sense that science and medicine were in Latin because everybody was taught Latin so it was a way of including everyone in the 1700s. Later it became a way of excluding people and of making things sound more important in the 1800s so that doctors could make more money. Now medical students use memory aids to bulk learn thousands of meaningless phrases.

Have you ever tried learning fencing? They teach it in French! French for christsake! They needed our help in two world wars. What do they know about fencing? But no it has to be in French.

Using a foreign language to learn or teach anything just does not make sense. This is not brain surgery it is hitting people. You should be able to explain everything you do in simple English (or Spanish or Swahili or whatever) and then you know and every body else will know that you know and understand what you are talking about and you are not just parroting mysterious sounding phrases knowing nothing. (I don’t mean that you know nothing I am just saying that there are a lot of people out there who don’t and who hide behind fancy language as a way of sounding like they do).
