I had the recent fortunate misfortune to use many of the herbal preparations on my son... after he broke his arm while on a Scouting trip. I also have many of the formulas outlined in "Tooth From A Tiger's Mouth" and definitely recommend them.
Trauma pills for initial treatment (I didn't get him in time to apply dit da jow for first aid... he went straight to the ER).
Bone knitting powder (in pills) during the weeks of healing.
Yunan baiyao for his skin and wounds after they removed 2 pins and the cast. He had an allergic reaction to the cast and when they removed it he had a rash with weeping sores up and down his forearm. Regular powdering with yunan baiyao cleared the sores quickly. The doctor's gause and bandages did nothing for the wounds from the pins. I filled the holes (yes... holes) with yunan baiyao for two days and they hardly even scabbed. After one week they looked great!
Highly recommended information to supplement what you are (hopefully) already learning from your sifu.
