Po pai sou

HK po paai sau and WCH po paai sau are 2 different techniques. WC guys in most of the branches call po paai sau a technique that we call wu dip jeung, "butterfly palms".

hi "O", mad at you? ha ha, not at all, everybody loves "O"

i have checked the thread again, ok:

- "break rib hand" - yes, paai gwat = spareribs, but the standard strike, as shown in the drawing, is upper gate. text also does not speak about strike to the ribs (like jak jeung)

- "sideways tiger claw push or break or strike" - not really translation (and similar to mine, ha ha)

"po" is kind of clear, but the problem is with paai character. any ideas?

My understanding is that po paai sau is not exactly a specific technique.
Paai was described to me like a bundle or row of something -- if I remember could be used for something like a raft.. how all the sticks are together.

You could imagine a bunch of sticks/poles in the ground and you are attacking(breaking?) each one while moving between them.

Anyway, my understanding is that it is describing a group/type of movements which are sometimes linked together..
