I was there during the taping of this vid and I can confirm it was at Lam Kwoon in Sunnyvale, CA.
Si Gung had taught this set to myself and Stephen Chew in Calgary.
It's purpose was simple according to him. Bascially he was teaching some "old folks" in the area and they could not handle the rigors of learning Tit Sin. (which he originally wanted to teach them)
So he created this set to make the learning and transition easier for them to get into Kung Fu shape.
Seriously, when we showed up, he showed no mercy towards those older people...he made them stand in a horse for a very long time in the begining warm up and they all stayed with it. It was unexpected but refreshing to say the least.
I'm not a forms collector and gave many of them back when I went on my own. But I still do this set sometimes to pay respect just incase I see him again.
I can see Chris Hayhurst right now calling it "Tai Gar" but I know C.W. doesn't reffer to it as such. It's just kung fu to him.
It's true he does have a whole script of the choreography and it was kinda neat seeing him on stage and 40 people doing the entire set and callling out ..."Mang Fu Ha San" (my poor cantonese phonetic spelling) but basically Tiger descends the Hill.
As simple as it looks, there are some things unique to this set.
