your primary source of conditioning is obviously going to have the highest impact on your body and how it reacts to different situations. a good example is comparing a pro swimmer and sprint runner. both are in "good" shape but the training is specific to their demands. gung fu is the same way, you are doing "style specific" conditioning, its important to understand because personalitys are various, and even though alot of chinese systems and other styles are "good" there are just some that are better for you as a person, thats my oppinion
