yeah, we say WCH is incomplete HK for lazy ladies, they say WCH is refinement of outdated and stiff HK just kidding, i have actually more friends with great WCH skills than friends with great HK skills

i have googled the saying in Chinese, and it is always on WCH websites though. never mind, i like it, i take it

PM, "belt and braces" does not ring a bell to me... But your explanation is indeed how I understand the poem. Additionally, ging is expressed with whole body movement, not just a single limb. Finally, a tree has a strong foundation.

How do the words belt and brace fit in this? A belt around your waist, and a brace is holding things together, the context seems different to me.

i mean braces, suspenders, the funny thing that holds you pants (as the belt does). we use this term in Czech in anticonception, ie. hormonal anticonception plus condom one fails, still ok
