Hello Forum,

I lack heavily in magazines or other material such as is being shared the past few days. I do have some experience with painting programs however so I spent today making a poster with the images from Lam Saiwing that PM offers on his website so I can put something back to the community in my turn.

I enhanced the images a bit, and put them in a design that fits with the theme of this forum. I hope you enjoy!

The image can be brought to a shop which prints images from digital photocamera's. I made the image in 3:2 format which follows the format of photo's. 20x30cm or even 50x75cm is easily done with this image, and might look great in your gwoon (and get some more attention for this forum!) (for the Dutch members: hema.nl really has an excellent digital photoservice which is very affordable).

I can see this being used as promotion for the Forum, and given/sold at tournaments, etc.

Yep.
As for photos: the other forms are not avaible in photo editions. (Tit Sin Kyun was only published in a newspaper and the pics got lost in 2nd World War, Fu Hok might have been published, but I've never seen it.)

In many families there are no Killing hands as a list either.

So in my opinion, for other posters best is to stick to Fu Hok and Tit Sin Kyun drawings.

Chunyat, I have the books and a scanner so I could scan the images in no problem (just takes a lot of time). But the reason I made this poster is because they are photos The 'old' posters with the images are now on Franky's photosite, so everyone who wants the posters with the images can download them from there. I thought this idea was cool as there aren't yet any posters with the photos.

But what about the sap yi kiu sao? Or 5 elements? Or 5 elements & 5 animals? If there are photos for all these it might be cool to make posters. Maybe there are other idea's as well.

i have seen a book on tit sin kyun with photos (not drawings!) in HK in 1999 - one of the guests on my sigung's birthday party had it. as for fhsyk, all i have seen is one or two photos - please check out http://www.lghk.org/en/gallery/lsw.htm, so far the most complete photogallery of Lam Saiwing available

new edition of fhsyk and tsk with drawings could be fine, but i vote for rearranging the pics according the set, not as it was published in the books. some pics in fhsyk are mixed up, tsk is even worse.

A poster of the titsin drawings could be cool then? Done in the correct order then. The images from Chunyat's or PM's site might just be a bit too low in resolution, I have to see & try out. Or maybe make the poster a bit smaller in DPI, that would save a full day of scanning, hihi. BTW, the way the book is binded I might have to cut the pages out of the book because it would be too folded otherwise, I only have that book for a month now so to already sacrifice it...

Anyway I'll give it some time before I make a second poster so we have something 'in store' In the meantime if anyone has an idea about other things I could make just give me a shout.

How about a poster with different subsets in different lineages? 9 poison hands, 10 killing hands, etc. Adding the name of the set, the family name, and maybe a line or two explanation what it is & does? Now that is bringing families together

How about making a poster with all the members in it..each member could make one posture from Fu Hok for example..we just go after the LSw poster..if we havent enough members joining, each member could make several postures..in addition besides the names of techniques we put the name of the person andhis family..so it would be one form all families... truly hung kuen yat gar
