Syracuse Kung Fu invited to do a Command Performance for the Unveiling of Jackie Chan’s wax statue at Madame Tussauds in New York City
Lions Gate Entertainment, Ltd., Requests Syracuse Kung Fu to Perform at world renown wax museum’s unveiling of Kung Fu Superstar’s Wax Likeness

Syracuse New York’s premiere center for Chinese Martial Arts, SYRACUSE KUNG FU, will perform at the request of Lions Gate Entertainment for Madam Tussauds’ Wax Museum’s unveiling of Jackie Chan’s wax figure.
Chan is one of the best-known names in kung fu and action films worldwide for his acrobatic fighting style, comic timing, use of improvised weapons and innovative stunts. He has appeared in over 100 films and has received stars on the Hong Kong Avenue of Stars and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The performance and unveiling is in concurrence with the new Lions Gate Entertainment hit movie, “The Forbidden Kingdom” that features the Hong Kong superstar.
Sifu Sharif Bey, owner and Chief Instructor for Syracuse Kung Fu and Upstate NY representative of Yee’s Hung Ga International Kung Fu Association, will head the performance, taking place Tuesday, April 22, 2008, 11am, at Madame Tussauds’ Wax Museum, 42nd Street, New York City. Bey has over 30 years in the martial arts and is one of the few qualified instructors of authentic Chinese Martial Arts in the Central New York area.
