possibly opening a can of beans here... but lets also think about what he may be considering a "Complete" system may not be what others consider complete.
Johnny McDojo says "My system is complete because i push out good fighters and have forms and a teaching method, therefore my system is complete. I don't waste time with elaborate training methods that take a long time and students forget half the time anyway."
Johnny Hung gar says "no your system is not complete, my system has more refined technique/teaching method and chi gung! it makes a higher skilled fighter."
Johnny mantis says "No, my technique is so refined, we have all that stuff and don't waste time on these big movements you all want to do. we will run circles around you."
Perhaps i'm over simplifying it, perhaps im completely missing the point. But as i see it, this is one mans opinion, and i've never met a master that wasn't supremely confident that his specific lineage or style isn't in some way superior to all the rest. That's why the sifu chose those specific ideas/technique/training regiment. they made sense to him and he thinks it's important to pass on.
so a person who makes a statement like that is fine with me. He just has the guts to say things in a public forum that many might say in private. It may make him a target, but if he's good enough, he can overcome that too.
