What is the history of this set? Did Lam Jo create it or is it a part of the Lau Gar System?

i do not know who wrote the article.

i am a student of Grandmaster Lam Jou's youngest son, of course i know Grandmaster personaly, the info above is correct. i am leaving soon to HK to attend Grandmaster's 98th birthday, i can ask and re-confirm.

Franky Lau has also confirmed that the set does not come from Lau family (Lau Jaam, Lau Galeung... ), as stated here

Well, I've seen two sources stating that the Mok Gar system includes one/two Lau Gar hand sets. One of them (I think it was an interview with a Mok Gar sifu?) was dug up in a thread on Kung Fu Magazines forum.

Just saw the recent article in IKF Mag by Hambly on Lau Ga of Hung Ga.

Has there been any consensus on the set being taught by Lum Jo. Hambly is just restating theold origins story of the Lau System.

Thought it was pretty much settled that the Lau Ga hand set that Lum Jo taught came from his acquaintance with the surname Lau who taught him a Mok Set.
