I remember reading about a interesting Ancestor tablet "White Crane" that was in LSW's school.

Any info or photos of it?

All I have is the images that I shared with PM of the Fujian White Crane Ancestors Tablet and manual page.

I believe the one LSW was different. I also heard that a copy of it appeared in one of the Kwan Tak Hing WFH movies...

okay I found the inscription:

白鶴先師神位

and yes it appears I think in the movie Dreadnaught.

you can clearly see that the calligraphy is not the same as the White Crane Clan tablet.

I was just told that only those lineages that include Hung Hei Gwoon give homage to the Wing Chuun Ba Hok Pai as the legend has him marrying a Fong Wing Chun of the White Crane Clan.

So if thats so then LSW must of recognized the HHG lineage either under WFH or his family. Some lineages include Luk Ah Choy as either not being or being a student under HHG.

One other interesting item is the term Wing Chun in that it is the name of the village where the White Crane Sect is taught and has researchers speculating that Surnames were added to the location to differentiate the clan branches:

ie: Yim Wing Chun and Fong Wing Chun.

just some more fuel for the fire I guess.

Does the Lum Jo school still have the White Crane Tablet?

Well, everything points to Fujian - legendary Southern Shaolin was supposed to be there, Wing Cheun Saam Leung/Fong Chat Leung, according some historians Hung Heigun was either born in Fujian, or spend substantial part of his life there.

i truly believe that White Crane is an acestral system of many Southern Chines martial arts, including todays Hung Kyun.

I'd agree that in its rudimentary Structure which it shares with many Fujian Styles but not styles coming from Guandong.

Fujian Crane techniques are definetly within Hung Gar (whether from the Hung Hei Goon lineage or the Luk Ah Choy Lineage if they are considered separate- which I don't.)

Now the stork/beak techniques attributed to Wing Chun White Crane I've not seen in their material/forms etc. Now Ermei White Crane does use the Beak in a similar way as you might find in the WFH FHSY set.

on the other hand the set "Warm Palm" has many of the same characteristics and principles seen in Fujian White Crane.

Perhaps LSW had learned White Crane previously and so that would explain the Tablet.
