What I noticed is that the forms of hung gar (particularly gung gee) have a very particular type of work that is not present in the combat sports. Isometric contractions, positions low and wide ... So I wonder if we really need an extra training, because this training takes time from the practice of much more specific work. The fact is that with these workouts I get tired a lot and they take away energy at the specific job with hung gar. For additional training I mean training in maximal and explosive strength, conditioning, isometry, core workout, stretching pnf, all jobs that take time to the practice of kung fu ...
