Really Mike.... nice attitude there. You're normally at least a little less obvious than that.
As for the history of the set, I don't know where it came from beyond
Sizou Lai. If you're asking, insinuating, or flat-out saying he made it up from the
Chiu/Ziu family
sap jing kyun I can't really respond to that because I just don't know. Did
Sizou Lai interact with
Chiu/Ziu Gaau, yep, but what that interaction was is sadly lost information. Could he have created the set from the
Chiu family
sap jing kyun, maybe. But looking to the rest of the curriculum I doubt it, especially since we have a standard version of
sap jing kyun already.
And as far as the elephant section having some arm shapes that are similar to
siu long paau kyun you are obviously correct although it should be pretty clear the body usage and stepping methods are different than those typically associated with
siu long paau kyun.
