Subitai-yes indeed, I am a proud banner waving, card carrying, Mutt P'ai practitioner!
My Gung-Fu is influenced by every practitioner I come in contact with.
As they did in the old days-before "standardization" was set forth by each family.
If I see something I like, I absorb it into my practice, until my Gung-Fu is solely my own and an expression of self.
One of my teachers Chao Hung, who is 78 yrs young, and as traditional as they come, told me that in his day, that is exactly what they all did.
So, yeah, you will definitely see elements within my form.
Then again, when we examine the origin(s) of Moi-Fa, it in itself is a melange,
as is Hung-Gar in general, thanks to Wong Fei-Hung.
Hung-Gar is the original Mutt Style!
(heck-anything Siu-Lum is a mutt style!)
That, combined with my own personal growth and evolution means that my Gung-Fu will forever be a work in progress.
If my Gung-Fu looks the same as it did ten years ago-or even one year ago, then something is seriously wrong.
That would mean that I haven't learned or evolved since then.
'My Gung-Fu is MY Gung-Fu. It may not be YOUR Gung-Fu"
