Think of Hung-Ga forms as a method of encapsulating the entire system, including fighting techniques, theory, strategy,power generation, strength development, hei-gung, loi-gung, etc into one package. Movements that do not seem to be "street effective" as shown above are usually like that for a specific purpose. They are not being shown as a fighting technique(Kuen-Faht), but as a developmental method(Gung-Faht).
The first half of Gung Ji Fook Fu Kuen, (or Gung Ji Kuen in TF line,) is mostly Gung-Faht, whereas it opens up in the second half (Fook Fu Kuen) into the Kuen Faht.
