I am not a fan of family politics, but I feel like I need to say something here. My sifu has always told me of what an upstanding and righteous person CHC was, and how strongly he felt about not causing trouble, and yet here we have todi senselessly challenging todi out in the public for everyone to see. I am embarrassed.

The first set in Hung Ga is 工字伏虎, taming the Tiger in the pattern of 工, which means "hard work", and is an important part of the character 功, which we should all know. People are getting a little too hot-headed and focusing on points that are not relevant to our continuing of exchanging positive ideas. As it is said, 正身清心, a healthy body in a healthy mind. This petty tension on our forum is detrimental to the cultivation of a "清心" a clean heart.

With diversity comes different experiences and different opinions; this cannot be ignored. One person's experience may not jive with another's, but our STRENGTH comes from dealing with it in a civilized manner. We all must tame our own tigers within through concentration on hard work and cultivation of 功. Without this primary focus, then there is no 功夫.

Sometimes, reality hits and political matters must be dealt with; this is also inevitable. It does not to be dealt with out in the open on a public forum where this petty exchange damages the image of everyone. Please utilize the private message system. It is hard to tell the difference between these discussions and those of the common internet keyboard troll. Please (everyone) refrain from publicly damaging the image of my sigung with carelessly trite and hotheaded remarks. I cannot imagine anyone can now come visit this forum and have any respect for anything we do, seeing these childish exchanges.

These discussions to not belong in other people's threads! If you really want to spam the internet with your political grievances, please do so in a separate thread!

EDIT: Okay, even though I wrote too much, I think I should clarify something. When I wrote that this childish contest should be in another thread, I meant not to have these exchanges in threads about other subjects (including Alberto's). Having it in this thread is fine, just try to compartmentalize and refrain from allowing these hot-headed remarks and baits to bleed into other parts of the forum. Thank you.
