the film is not very good, but there are many real gungfu masters in there - Chan Sau Chung (Monkey king - daai sing pek gwa) and his students, Chiu Chi Ling (Hung Kyun), Lee Koon Hung (Choi Lei Fat)...

Why is this film not very good? It seems a contradiction when so many masters are playing a role in it.

Maybe badly directed, badly shot, not too good story. The skills of the masters (which is very good) do not have any influence on those. It does not guarantee the movie itself is good too.
I've seen it too and it did not really stood out like other movies I saw. Still its a good watch to see the masters in action of course! But dont let your family sit along who dont look at the good kungfu and need a good story to sit it through
