That's a good, solid Horse Stance!
In this point I totally agree with your Sifu, and I like to add:
Everybody has a different type of built and although our Hung Gar uses natural stances it has to suit the body.
A second reason to adjust Hung Gar to suit your body is, that Hung Gar is not a performance art but in origin a fighting art. It's not some type of modern Wushu that can be measured with a yardstick!
