At those prices, it will only take a few buyers for him to make a hefty return on his investment for that website. I would have thought he'd have some more stability in his stances in order to charge prices like that.

Hmmm... USD150 for GGFFK? You could get almost 8 months of personal tuition from my sifu at that price, 4 classes a week, which would be more than enough to cover as much knowledge of GGFFK as you'll get from that VCD. That said, the airfare to HK and accomodation would cost a little more.

I remember this Sifu posting videos a long time ago on youtube. What I notice at the beginning of his gung gee is that while he's in a horse stance doing his three pushes/extensions, he does it with one hand as a bridge hand and the other as a tiger palm like in the gung gee book. Another thing similar to the gung gee book that he does is he actually blocks with a bridge hand after the water fist.

Although it's in the gung gee book, I've never seen anyone do it like that. From what I've seen, everyone does the three pushes with 2 bridge hands and blocks their head with either a regular/tiger palm after the water fist in gung gee.

The awkward thing is that he didn't do the form the way he did it in is old videos, but his new instructional videos matches most of the things in the gung gee book that no one does.

Anyways, just wondering if anyone noticed.

I love hung ga but i am not a hung stylist so i am not qualified to critique,
but he's not the first to put whole forms on youtube. I'm sure a few people
will learn the form from his clips but a trained eye can prolly tell that
one learned from a vid. I'm not worried about it. I'm sure you know there's
so much more to interpreting/understanding a form than just mimicking
movements. :wink:

Maybe his vids give good instruction but i'd rather have personal contact and transmission. Jus my opinion.

So other than the price, what do you think Franky??

putting whole forms on youtube is ok...those times where forms like tit sin was more or less a secret are over.Im all up for sharing let it be videos,pictures,articles etc. as u see in the Lau Jaam thread we found that to us unknown book on tit sin kuen with lau jaam drawings I made a poster of it and everyone can have it (well,its not really professionally done)...
so when it comes to show forms on youtube thats cool...

I also have no problems with instructional videos,but wow 3000 USD for a titsin instructional...and Idont want to be offensiv but if anyone buys this its not because the guy is so good ..However,to me this guy looks like he didnt know all those forms for a very long time..hard to explain..and then I think nobody should learn tit sin kuen from a video anyway.

On his website he says the price includes personalised form corrections.
If the price includes continuous correction until you have learned the form correctly (as much as is possible by video) then perhaps it is not as expensive as it first appears.
I agree with franky, though- learning titsin by video is probably not a good idea :wink:

There is NO waist power generated from the legs. All of his power is coming from his neck. I find his technique sloppy and having no Ging at all.

This is a buyer beware for sure.

Well, I don't want to talk about his skill level or anything especially since my standard is low at this time. But his set is very similiar to the way we play it. Wow! I need to post some of our lineage Kuen Toh and Bing Hei on the web.
