when i was in China this year, many of the old Hung Kyun masters talked about importance of training with "stone locks" (sek so) or "wooden ears" (muk yi, like those used by Hap Ga/white crane/lama paai).
as sek so or muk yi are hard to get and not easy to make,
i have currently incorporated some basic drills with a similar equipment, ie. with kettlebells, in my personal training and teaching, and i really love it. my question is: does anybody trains with sek so/muk yi/kettlebells? what drills do you train? pros/contras? ...?
