I never taught I will see another school doing this form . This is the first weapon form (the iron fan form) I learn from my master Richard Chan who learn it in Singapore from Soong Siu Por lineage .

Yes Soong Siu Por was under Lam Sai Wing , so maybe Lam Jo lineage have the same

I've been told that there is no fan form taught in the Lam Family Hung Gar.

There is one taught by the Tang Fung Lineage, I believe called the Iron Leaf Fan and it is not the same as the Beef Bone Fan.

I believe Song Siu Bo (宋晓波) might of had other teachers so perhaps it was picked up there. But more likely it comes from his main student Cheong Wing Kwang (張榮焜) who originally learned Hung Kuen from his father that descends from the Hung Hei Gwoon Lineage. Yee Chi Wai was originally in Canada and there is representatives of this lineage up there so this is possible where he got it from.

Some weapons taught by Yee Chi Wai Hung Gar that are/based choy li fut (ie: SAber, Tiger Fork and Bench).

Thanks for all the information everyone! It's interesting that other Dang Fong branches don't practice this set, I thought it was created by him. Admittedly, I don't know that much about Dang Fong Sifu's branch or curriculum. I practice an unrelated fan form, a much more recent addition to the Hung Kuen curriculum. Just admiring this performers demonstration of technique and spirit!

Master Richard Chan learn from Song Chao Yuan directly . So maybe in Lam Jo lineage there is no fan form but in what I know is that Soong Sui Por learn from Lam Sai Wing , so maybe He did not pass it to Lam Jo . I will double Check with Master Richard Chan if he learn it from another teacher and let you know but what I know is that he learn all is kung fu forms from Soong Chao Yuan

You do not really have to look any further than Choy Li Fut which has over 100 single person forms. However, in my humble opinion, that is the flip side of the "vacuum" extreme.

Material is just that and anything that you like you learn. Only thing I don't get is how individuals try to pass it off as coming from somewhere it did not and not give credit to who they learned it from.

I personally have a list of all the individuals I've trained with and what I learned from them.
