Very interesting.

The LSW one: Here (and I've seen it on other articles before) speak of Ng Hang Kuen (Five Elements Set) as a separate set.

yes, i have also seen it in other Chinese articles. was ng hang kyun a separate set in the past? does anybody has any reliable info? maybe we can make a five elements thread to discuss it.

HI,

yes they (Ng Ying Kuen and Ng Hang Kuen) are two separate sets:

according to my sifu, Sap Ying Kuen was "made" by LSW by connecting the two, however some shortening was made to them in this transition. In our school the two forms are teached separately first.

unfortunately i am not even close to learning these forms yet, so no more info on the differences...

We have through my malaysian lineage a seperate 5 elements fist set.
Its quite basic but nice and short..think of mui fah kuen short.
But differes a lot from the 5 element part in sap ying kuen.

Jow Gar Kuen 8 diagram pole

book on Nam Kuen or wushu's nan quan..its very interestin as it explains which parts are from which style..in general it explains all about nan quan and its roots...
