ok, other point to the discussion:

i recall one old Chinese article mentioning that the original art of Jisin Sim si was "short bridge, narrow horse". after his 3 visits of Gwongdung province he has decided to modify the art and include "long bridges, wide stances".

interesting, this or the other way all the sources claim that the art (Siulam kyun, Hung Kyun) was originally short and compact, and the wide open postures are latter addition.

Any idea what the article source was and how credible it was? If its true, Jisin Sim Si ... Thats like waaaayyyy back.

And the way you describe it, it can just be the waterpunch. And the other long hands added later. We'll never know for sure

it is an old Chinese article, pretty good short history of Hung Kyun.

i think the major change was especially the stances (lower, wider), long hands of Hap ga added later
