Professional Fighters - Jow Ga

We have had a few. I have to talk to some of the folks back in DC, but here are two recent ones:

Climso Brumfield () - A student of Wong Chinese Boxing, Capitol Hill. His primary teachers were Sifu Chris Henderson and Howard Bryant. There are lot of clips of him on youtube, check it out.

Lisa "Too Fierce" Foster () - Was a student in the early 80s, and was the only of three female students in Sifu's weekend classes along with Carol and Janet and a regular to the sparring class. She eventually became a kickboxer and then boxer, trained by Ham Johnson along with his son Mark "Too Sharp" Johnson, IBF Flyweight champ. Lisa was a world Champion female boxer who fought on PPV. She has a gym in DC, and among her pupils are a few Jow Ga students--including Jack Evans' son. She lives right next door to Sifu Rahim Muhammad's school on U Street.

I am moved to say, that Lisa "Too Fierce" Foster shows to be an exemplary human being, both in body and in spirit, and in the very finest of martial art traditions. Definitely a credit to her teachers.

Yes she is thank you! She was a good girl and came from a rough background, joined the military and got married at a young age and stayed with the combat arts all this time. Even when she was boxing professionally, she gave credit for her involvement to Jow Ga and Sifus Chin and Wong, considering herself a Jow Ga woman. When she first moved back to DC, first thing she did was go to HTCM and introduce herself to Sifu Rahim. She owns a gym in DC so if anyone's in the area check her out! I believe it's called "Too Fierce Boxing" or something like that, in the Adams Morgan area. Last I talked to her, she was playing golf professionally, her husband is a pro golfer. I particularly like the youth outreach work she does, using her position to be a positive role model. This is commendable.

But I agree with you, the list goes on and on...she is truly a Jow Ga superhero!
