Chi Gur drill i made up
So i spent some time trying to figure out a drill for the guys to do that will teach them leg technique, sticking/leg checks, and use of stances. This is meant to be a beginner drill, and i'm going to add to it. But let me know what you think, and if you have suggestions. Obviously video would be better, but i only have pics here.
1: Partners start in horse stance, leg to leg
2: person 1(P1) Switches into bow and arrow stance, breaking person 2's(P2) horse.
3: P2 steps forward and rotates into Diu Ma(cat stance), sweeping the forward leg that P1 has out there.
4: P1 steps back half a step(to get enough room) and puts out a round house kick from the rear leg, P2 lifts the leg to check/absorb the kick(along the thigh and rear end, this picture doesn't show it properly). Both step down into cat stance.
5: P2(from cat stance) does a front leg snap kick, P1 checks that kick and sticks to the leg on the way down.
6: As P1 sticks on the way down, they transition into a dragon stance/twist horse(not sure what you call it)
to reset, P2 twists back into a horse stance, and P1 resets, then you do it opposite.
