yes, extactly like this. we practice our Si ga mui fa ying cheung with the left hand forward, but most of our 2-man sets (sabre vs. spear, double southern knives vs. spear, daai dou vs. spear) with spear are right hand forward, ie. more compatible with Yeung ga Ng long baat gwa gwan, more like a long pole than a spear. double daggers vs. spear we train with left hand forward, and also the techniques are those of spear, not the long pole.

Then would i be right in thinking that these 2 man sets were developed by Lam jo and his son's and that they changed the position of the hand to make it more natural to the bodies movements under pressure.
Are these 2 man sets (this version of the set) only found in the Lam family hung gar or do other Hung families have the same sets out side of the Lams.

according to what i know, these weapon 2-man sets were developed by Grandmaster Lam Jou.
