I am having trouble finding a source for a thunder hoe and wish to make my own.
Does anyone have a description of the size and shape of a thunder hoe?

Did you try gardening shops? I found with just a few minutes of Googling.

we also have a hoe set coming from Malaysia Ho Kam Wai lineage...
this set goes like 8 minutes...it goes beyond martial arts,during set u act like u work in a field,u have a teak break,sit down on the hoe,make some stretchings,even play a short empty hand set,roll up the legs of your trousers etc. then continue the hoe set....long but nice set

I have and can get a typical garden hoe. what I need is a much larger version, similar to how the monk spade look a litlle different than a normal shovel.

here u can see a bit of a hoe set from hung fut..this school is in germany they also teach lam family hung kuen....

It doesn't really matter that much. A gardening hoe is very similar - it wouldn't be played any differently.
Save your money, unless you are collecting and need it to look exactly the same.

That vid was cool Frank. He rolling up his trousers as well. This part of the same set you guys do, or by accident a set with the same non-martial elements?

Just a thought: your set is so long, maybe so because it was a very important tool in older times in use by many? Makes sense to have indepth sets for tools you carry/use with you relatively the most.

well I think this set is not hung kuen anyway,I mean our set.
Just like so many weapon sets in hung kuen..ours has a part where u put the hoe down (lol) and then u play a 12moves tiger set...then continue the hoe set
In that hung fut set are some similar techniques..the rolling up the trousers thing is not excatly the same but very similar..we also have movements where u use a straw hat to wave some air in ur face..so when playing the set u should have a straw hat haha...if u dont have you just use ur hand..this set demands acting abilities haha

I understand why you would want to get a more authentic Chinese Hoe. Its dimensions are wider and longer.

Picked up the Hoe Head at a Chinese Market in NYC CHina Town.

Nice. We have a hoe set in jow ga too. I believe there is a version floating
around on youtube. i'll see if i can dig it up.

That's great now I can just buy one instead of build one.
