ngokfei: thank you!
i personaly think it is some misinformation. even Hung Kyun of that late Grandmaster Chan Honjung and Frank Yee sifu is quite different.

I stop myself from commenting further.
Everytime I give my opinion on things, I either get a phone call or e-mail from one of my old classmates.

The politics aside (which I find the least interesting about our arts) that was a good read ngokfei! Thank you for sharing that article again. Any idea when it was published? Mentioning some dates it must be after HK returned to China, also the fonttype is quite modern.

Chan sifu, Yee sifu and Uglow sifu are all well known and respected teachers of our art, i think there is no need for any bad blood just because some (mis)information from an old magazine, from any side.
anyway, i would suggest to avoid "who learned from who" topic, as it has brought more bad than good in the past. everybody has his story. personally, even it is different from mine, it does not matter. let's avoid the argument of the past, and promote the brotherhood of the present and future. so far, this forum is doing great!
