training through pain
I have a chronic knee problem at this point, and im just curious what experiences and suggestions you guys have in reguards to long term injuries, and training through them.
A couple years ago I fractured my wrist, and it was less complicated to rehab. i used bone knitting, and then dit da, then tendon lotion and generally didnt do much contact with that hand. or light contact only. Now with my knee... there is nothing that i can do to avoid using it constantly because its so vital.
I can still use the knee, it has strength, it just has a good amount of pain(worst of all, its inconsistent). So i could train, and have been doing my best to ignore it(sitting out when pain becomes stronger).
So my question for the peanut gallery is this: At what level does one need to train in order to still get some training, but not hurt the offending body part?
