sei ping daai jan kyun (and ng hang chat sing kyun) are introductory (yap mun) Hung kyun sets. the set is not very long, but most of it is repetition (ie. there are more moves than on the pics, the set goes back and forth, most of the techniques are repeated). sei ping daai jan kyun uses "lau da" (leak and strike) tactic, step in and pressing attacks tactic and continuous attacks. it also uses various sounds (hap!, hei!, hoi!, ng!... )

i have a short video of Jau sifu performing the set; i like the structure, it reminds me the introductory sets of Gwongjau Wingcheun (sap yi lou) or Fatsaan Choi Lei Fat. Jau sifu is not only a vey skillful gungfu exponent, but alswo very modest, friendyl and knowledgable gentleman. i will post the video later on this server.

It's nice having introductory foundational sets when you teach to the public. GJFFK is very difficult for a beginner to grasp or see the light at the end of the tunnel. Moi Fa Kuen, although shorter, is still lengthy to many rank beginners. I have two sets that I teach before Moi Fa Kuen, which were "stolen" from another system, and then "Hung-Gar-amatized"
to fit in with their developmental training.
I am not about collecting forms, although I have always enjoyed learning forms as a hobby, but sometimes you need stepping stones.
