suprised no-one seems to recognise this within the hung ga community.
As ashamed as i am to admit it, this is how i found out about hung Ga! my son is a huge avatar fan
why are we not taking advantage of this obvious marketing goldmine? earthbending clubs, newsletters, event and so on kids feel more connected with that stuff and thats a good thing surely?

I've seen various discussion of it in HG circles around the internet, mainly discussing the style shown and how it is sometimes "not real Hung Gar". I don't really mind whether it's 100% accurate or not, if it sparks some interest, that's sort of a good thing.
I say sort of a good thing, as it's not all good. Having a load of little kids with minimal attention spans turn up to your mouh gwoon is not all that fun in practice. It can result in older students having to baby-sit the young kids, wasted time as kids lose interest, etc.

good point,
would it not then be better in those situations to seperate the lesser experienced students, and give more advanced students the opportunity to teach?
on the avatar thing, u'll find the animators using the moves as a "guide" to give the action a unique quality, also, this Sifu Kisu chap i'm not sure how well he knows the style himself think he's more northern stylee.

Kisu is a Northern Practitioner. He might of got some stuff from Sifu Donald Hamby. I think they are friends.
