Anybody managed to see this movie, i would imagine most of us have. I remember i bought it from either playasia.com or yesasia.com for something like 8.00 GBP and what a great film it is. Love the whole Pei Mei turning his back on his brothers and leading the plot to destroy the shaolin temple.
masterpiece.

Very cool movie. But you might not want to regard them as a trustable sources for legends and history though
In the past some people considered them true stories, put them on their websites, and people revealed the story was all made up just for the movie

Frank, next time you see your sigung, please double check as for Hung Manding (made up for movie or not?). I met a guy in China whose lineage (as he said) goes back to Hung Manding; and i kind of doubt he has ever seen a single gf flick.
all the best

i know that on the film Hung Xi Guan has a son but wan't sure if he had one in "real life" Is it true there are no historical recordings of Hung Xi Guan being the founder of Hung Kuen, because on Sifu Yee's site he does not trace the roots of the style back to Hung Xi Guan but rather to Luk Ah Choi Mr Hung's Shaolin Brother. I know that in our lineage we trace our roots all the way back to Gee Sin Sim See and Tit Bei Sim See.
