Funny, I was just watching this video on sunday and was debating posting it as I wondered what others would have to say. I am only a beginner myself, but the applications differ a lot from what I am learning, and to be honest I did wonder whether or not this was 'good' or tight kung fu or not. No disrespect intended at all to anyone either, I am still trying to make sense of it all

Well, I can tell you that his Cat Washes Face wasn't my taste. The overall impression would have been better if he used shorter takes and maybe less students. Being out of breath when instructing is not a good idea.

OK clear FC. Was just wondering, since you had a very strong opinion, but did not explained/elaborated them.

I can follow your views explained. But I also have to add that I consider myself a beginner for at least another 5 years or so, and that I have seen multiple applications for the same move for most of our forms so I'm not 'stuck' into a single application per move.

But blocking a kick like that would indeed hurt your wrist. I know since I have wrist probs from doing stuff like that 20 years ago
