I'll try to get this ball rolling again.
Step 11: (Double cutting bong sau / planting pots / two bows encircling the moon)
Sit in horse stance, thrust both palms out 45% degrees downward. The outside of the arms cut through an incoming attack, and the palms strike.
Step 12:
Squeeze palms together, then divide by pushing them outward and slightly upward. Fingers spread while arms sink, stabilizing the bridges.
Used to infiltrate an incoming double hand attack and dividing/dispelling it.
Step 13:
The same three extensions as done earlier to the sides. We have both pointerfingers raised, as opposed to the image.

Note that in cma, the application seldom looks exactly like training. The sei ping ma in these movements are a good example -- you would never stand facing your opponent in that way while defending or attacking. The distinction between training and application is important..
Likewise, using two hands to defend a two handed attack is extremely unlikely. Who would attack like that ?
Although we often use two hands (in forms)- be careful not to get caught up in thinking of defending two-handed attacks as the primary application - it almost never is.. It's much more likely that you can use just one hand, while you do something more constructive (deconstructive?) with the other.

Think of Hung-Ga forms as a method of encapsulating the entire system, including fighting techniques, theory, strategy, power generation, strength development, hei-gung, loi-gung, etc into one package. Movements that do not seem to be "street effective" as shown above are usually like that for a specific purpose. They are not being shown as a fighting technique(Kuen-Faht), but as a developmental method(Gung-Faht).
The first half of Gung Ji Fook Fu Kuen, (or Gung Ji Kuen in TF line,) is mostly Gung-Faht, whereas it opens up in the second half (Fook Fu Kuen) into the Kuen Faht.
