Hello everybody. I am new here so first of all I would like to pass on greetings and warm regards to everybody here on the forum....

I wondered if anyone here has heard about Wong fei Hung having not developed and devised any of the Hung material and did in fact learn these things from another source (another Sifu in the line of the new Hung) and then himself and lam Sai Wing claiming it to be there own innovation ???

I would welcome any thoughts and comments or any research on this topic...

As for the theory, i have never heard it before. All source i know say that Wong Feihung sijou made a lot of changes - his style is often called "New Hung Kyun" (as opposed to "Old Hung Kyun of the previous generations)

I have some hypotheses due to extensive research, but posed the question initially asking if anyone has any information regarding my question... I am not going to waste my time with petty squabbling and although I am indeed from the UK.
I've been involved with Hung Kuen a very long time and all this infighting and squabbling I have seen it all over the years and it doesn't interest me. Why can people not just discuss the topic instead of the individual players ???

Hi guys thankyou for your helpful replies... Having posted the question the other day I then had abusive private messages by Four Pillars thinking that I was someone else, that obviously he has had some past problems with... As I told him I am not the person by the name of Chris Mercer that he thinks I am, I am not here to cause problems just to have a nice discussion to try and clarify things a little better.

Wong Fei Hung was around at the time of the NEW Hung, as you quite rightly stated, but, Wong Kei Ying his father would not teach him because he was a bit of a lad getting into trouble and fighting a bit. His father was from the old school (morality) and therefore would not pass things on to him and that is why the WFH line then had to say that he learned Tit Sin Kuen from Lam Fook Shing and a nice story has been spread about how they met etc. Interestingly Wong Fei Hung never left a student behind to run his school when he died, he never told a student that he was next in line and so Lam Sai Wing then took this title on and there was a lot of conjecture as to who should be passing on the lineage as taught by WFH...

Plus there are no pictures of WFH and actually it was 60 years or so after his death that the cult magazines latched on to his story, through the popularity of Lam Sai Wing and his thousands of students and started to make 100's of movies and magazines about this guy'

If you look at the 3 books that LSW got his student to publish, it mentions the forms that WFH supposedly passed down to LSW and it is not the modern curriculum as so say devised by WFH himself ?????

I think Four Pillars aka Cheesedip aka MoonKey thinks anyone from the UK is Chris Mercer (a former forum member and my own si-hing) I have also recieved vile e-mails from him (under his cheesedip moniker) and have now changed my profile to stop any PM's being sent to me, other than by the forum administrator, mainly because I dont want my child seeing the filth this "man" writes, perhaps Hong Quan you should do the same.

As for WFH not being taught by his father, I always thought he was 1st taught by Luk Ah Choy then finished his training with his dad, and swapped Tit Sin Kuen with Lam Fook Sing later....but who knows I wasnt there.

Yes this four pillars guy is getting a little boring filling my pm box with nonsense.. I don't know or care for the beef he has.. It is nothing to do with me or my original question.. He seems obsessed with this Chris guy !!
No WFH didn't learn from Lok Ah Choi, he was around before Tit Kiu Sam, so incorrect time frame.. Also he learned TSK from Lam Fook Shing (the traditional story goes), but if that is the case why did he only learn TSK? Why not the other sets ???
I have an answer to this and will be publishing the whole story in the near future...thanks for the warning about cheese dick or whatever his name is ..

I think Four pillars should be banned from here. He has some strange illusion that I am someone that I'm not and is posting nonsense to a perfectly good thread, trying to spread malicious hate and for what ??? Put your energy into something positive and grow up...
