How to condition entire body?

From toes to head, passing for shin, abdomen chest etc?
Is it possible to condition all body to impact having minimum problem? It's possible to do this in a human time and way?
Well, it's a bit silly question, but I'm very curious.
I have an e-book about the 72 skills of shaolin but a lot of tips are a bit complicated to apply... Then I have doubt about the healt preservation using those tips...
There is someone that can give me more information about conditioning? I searched all around the web, but informations are few. Wikipedia talks about Wolff's Law, but in a minimal way. I didn't find either scientific research about this topic! I searched in pubmed and science daily, but nothing.
I hope someone could help me.
Sorry for my english, I'm italian and I wrote all this without google translate or dictionary. :) :P

Hi Patch87...

I also have the book Training Methods of 72 Arts of Shaolin. I do believe it is possible to condition the body as they "explain" but imho this book is not a "How To" book but more of a catalog of what they did and the explanations are condensed. My feeling is that there is a lot left out. Don't forget that their training consisted of a lot of other training that came beforehand to get to a level to learn those specialties. It all has to be taken into context.

Unless you know what you are doing (supervised with knowledgeable teacher), to begin training on some of those specialties is not advisable (in case you are thinking about it), esp the ones with heavy strikes to the body for conditioning. Those exercises should be done under proper supervision from someone who has the knowledge and experience as well as the proper medicine to treat your body. Improper training for certain body conditioning may lead to nerve or organ damage. Remember, that energy is going into your body and has to go somewhere!

To answer your question... Yes it is possible for someone to gain those skills over time, but there is a lot more to it than what is written in that book.

If you don't learn this from people who have been training it for generations, you are liable to wind up with,
A) something time-consuming and useless, or, B) arthritis and/or nerve damage. It's not a simple matter of
deep breathing, judicious self-beating, then taking a bath in Dit Da Jow like a modern-day Fong Sai Yuk.
This is not something that can be "learned" from a book or DVD. It's something that you must have somebody
qualified to drill and train you in.

On the bright side, Muay Thai is very popular these days, working athletically with calisthenics, contact drills,
Thai pads, heavy bag, and the good ol' medicine ball can work wonders toward "entire body conditioning".

Well, really nothing particular. From one side I was curious, in the other side I'd like to be prepared to everything, but something tell me that also with the most perfect conditioning a strike is always a strike. :)
