So i've been checking out lion dance on youtube. I like many aspects of what i see, but theres something i notice in a large amount of the videos. The lions never seem to turn their heads. they just sort of nod back and forth, but generally always look ahead.
Am I the only one that thinks this make them look a bit wooden?
Discuss.

Lion Dancing now has been standardized with being only acrobatic and done with what pretty to the eyes of the crowd.
I miss the old traditional puzzles and floor routines.
As for the spirit of the lion in these routines it depends on the directors and coaches of these troupes to show there players those emotions.
Do not get me wrong there is alot of talent and great routines I have seen in You Tube as well, But it depends on the troupe or lion dancers.
