Who is in for research, friendship, mutual respect, sharing on this forum? Who is not interested in gungfu politics, threats, statements and all the other political sh*t? Who is in for friendly and troll-clean NaamKyun Discussion forum? Who is interested for gungfu for now and the future, positive promo and martial virtues? Who is supporting the original founding idea of this forum and web? Who is in?
I am in! Anybody else?

Hello everyone!
I'm all in! For a friendly atmosphere and sharing of knowledge and experiences. After all, gungfu should be connecting and uniting people, not dividing them because of some petty politics. Let's respect the martial virtues even in this digital environment.
Best regards,
Honza

Great leaders in the martial arts community have always emphasized the idea that "we all win through collaboration and mutual support". A forum can be a rich and wonderful resource, but only if appreciation and respect prevail.
On my own part, I will continue to promote and teach the way my teachers taught me. If, for example, my Sifu/ Si Gung told me that he taught someone, I'm stating for the record that's what he said. If the next man's Sifu or Si Gung has told him differently, I encourage him to do the same.
Frankly, if we can't talk about lineages and differences, as forum members, we are left in a relative information vacuum. Therefore, I recommend exploring ways this can be done, short of insulting anyone (or taking insult), realizing there are those inclined to feign "insult", just to spoil a presentation, conversation or good debate.
Certainly, ban anybody who has shown a consistently disruptive agenda, such as the type likely to inhibit others from talking, or actually degrade the image of martial arts.
Best,
Michael Goodwin

I just want the truth...not someone's version of it....and to be able to question something, if it conflicts with what I have been told. Not to be thteatened with being banned for daring to do so.
This isnt political, I am not stating one lineage is above another or that a si-fu's teaching is wrong-I have too much respect for Hung Kuen for that....

conflict opinions? sure, that is what the research and discussion is about! i myself question a LOTS of things, but i train, teach, research, ask the elders of various lineages, translate the old documents, discuss, compare, evaluate. i do not agree with everybody here on the forum but it does not mean i do not respect their opinion and point of view. and definitely, i respect ALL elders, whatever issues they had in the past among themselves. i was not there.
otherwise it is just shouting out loud: "i am right! my sifu is right! our family is right! wait for the statement! i challenge everybody who says something else! this is personal! i have no proof for what i am saying but i will beat you all! this is not proof because i have heard otherwise! ...! ...!!! ...!!!!!! " we do not want such things here on the forum. lots of things happened since the old Southern Fist Forum, its flamewars, stupid articles and later statements. everybody is happy that we Hung Kyun people get along and grow stronger, TOGETHER!

Well put Pavel. In the end there is no ultimate truth other than the fact we all love Hung Kyun, should probably train harder, and drink more beer. That's my truth and I'm sticking to it!
Peace,
Justin

I am for a open forum which we can discuss and debate in adult, friendly manner. Getting to the truth is a rocky road. It can be done a sense of chivalry I feel though. If you have a conflicting view point, then debate is good, provide some evidence to support your position. Threatening, issuing challenges or shouting down someone else view point to prove yours is not constructive at all.
I like this forum because we have members of just about all the lineages who have come together. Up until recently, this has been a amiable setting in which we trade information about each of our histories and how how our families apply Hung Kuen.
I am not for a forum where those who have conflicting viewpoints threaten and issue fight challenges to prove their point. I also do not want to be apart of a forum which causes friction needlessly between the families. This forum has been really great place for those from the different branches to come together.
Passion for your family is great but let us do it decorum.
