Has anyone heard of an old china man in the Philadelphia PA area name Lau Tsai Fat or Lau Tsiu Yat. He was my Sifu Allan Ondash's & Mark Sidel's teacher. He passed away in the late 70's or early 80's. He used to teach Hung-gar in the basement of an building across from an arcade.

There possibly be different spellings for his name

Lau Sai Fat
Lau Tzu Fat
Lao Si Yat
etc.
depending on the Chinese dialect from where he grew up

I do know he had a large scar on his leg from a Japanese officer's sword during the cultural revolution he saved his mother and sister from being raped by the Japanese and he killed about 5 or 6 of them.

Well I tried using ancestry.com to help but that just steered me in the wrong direction. Yeah I agree with you it does not make any sense to travel back and forth like that. I gonna try something else.

i believe the old man you are sjpeaking of. Lau sifu passed away in the 80's he was the teacher of the Hip Sing association he taught village style hung kyun. could that be who you are speaking of?
