This is a wood punch. It's commonly known as a wood squeezing punch - Gaap3Muk6Ceoi4, 挾木槌.

Thanks for the replies. The gwa choi & jik choi combo I'm referring to is usually sandwiched between the wood squeezing punch (wood element) and the wave punches (water element).

The gwa & jik combo is a different from the wood squeezing punch altogether. Would you still consider it a wood element?

Seriously though, I don't quite get what is so difficult, making Gwa Da "fit in" with Chau Da or Suei Long Pau Kyun.

What, precisely, are you trying to "fit"?

Is the gwa & jik combo (Gwa Da) considered part of the Wood Element or Water Element?

What is Chau Da? (Sorry, I'm still working on proper cantonese terminology)

What you are describing can be found in the "Wood" section of the Sap Ying Kyun.

Chau Da is the "Wood" element strike that precedes it, Suei Pau Chui is the "Water" element strike directly following.
