Lau Ga Kyun

Does any one know the story behind why the Chiu Family version of Lau Ga Kyun finishes with a different sequence to the other Lam Sai Wing Hung Ga versions? It appears to be the same sequence of movements that closes the Butterfly Palm?

These sets that you describe are minor Hung Kyun sets developed in (relatively) recent times by Lam Sai Wing students...

That being said, whether one mixes/ matches movements from these forms in practice or in presentation is not a matter of compelling importance...

Other than respecting tradition whether in our presentation or our personal practice, the obvious point is to improve our skills, not dilute, misplace, or even lose them altogether...

Therefore, if we have an overview of any given Hung Kyun training hall's material, and management thereof, we will likely notice that if something was removed, likely it was added somewhere else...

Just because our chair's not in our dining room doesn't mean it's missing. Perhaps we had an extra guest who wasn't eating, we moved it to the living room...

Likewise, we might not want our guests to stay too long, so we've just moved all the chairs out of the living room and the dining room, and stacked them on the back porch until they leave!

Certainly, there was/is no value placed on this or any changes/differences. Just a question out of curiosity.
As I have read here Leung WingHaang coreographed the Butterfly Palm form, I am just wondering whether this sequence is an 'older' hierloom peice of furniture brought to the table.
