made this interview a few weeks ago when I was in HK,altogether it went for like 60 minutes..I have split this in several parts so i could upload it onto youtube..in part one Mark Ho Sifu talks about his time in Malaysia..
actuall in the beginning I asked him how he got into cma..but it looked and sounded so stupid I had to cut it out hehe so in this part Im just sitting there and nodding my head :roll:

...Im not made for the screen lol..anyway hope u like it..part 2 will follow soon..

This explains why Mark is always saying that Fu Hok did not come from Wong Fei Hung, since the Malaysian lineage he learned had it, but it was descended from Luk Ah Choy and didn't have contact with Wong Fei Hung.

HI Chris,

well as u know if we believe in the history it was hung hei goon who combined the tiger style with the crane and it was wong fei hung who later added some movements and modefied fu hok...

Part 5 has some interesting insights, and it echoes many things that my Sifu has talked about over the years.

If you would care to indulge us FrankyLau, could you offer up any discussion as to what your Sifu thinks about what parts of Hung Kuen need to be adapted to accommodate what is happening in this day and age?

very interesting, thanx a lot Franky

i did not see parts 4 and 5, it does not work for me. i also asked couple of friends to download them for me, but it also did not worked out. does anybody has the same problem, or it is just something wrong with the network here in Europe?

Nice interview. Well done!
It gives a lot of good and useful insight information on training chinese martial arts in Asia. Learning the 'old school way'.

It would be nice to see some more of these indepth interviews on youtube of Sifu like Lam Chun Fai, Gam Bok Yin, Frank Yee and the like.
