The slo-mo was funny! ("Retain what is useful and discard the rest." -B.L.) Parts of it remind me of Ng Long Baat Gwa Gwan, but I guess long poles have shared characteristics regardless of CMA system. Very good how he kept going, as per "The show must go on". Nice post, thanks Asmo :)

Niiiiice!

Ng Jou Kyun 6 1/2 point poling...

In my opinion he regained himself reasonably, the pole being effective from the gripping distance of rear hand on the rear hip, front hand extended foreward at length, from that span distance on out...

That being said, it was probably not "Excessive Qi", but waxwood weevils...

Little buggers ate my arsenal once!

That's why I recommend to always quarantine new weapons, especially shipped from places those various types of material are grown...

Very "exotic", ok?!

Best,

Mike

Really? Anyone else had bugs in their waxwood staffs before?

Yes. Not in mine directly, but I ordered a couple staffs through my friend's wushu school before. The first batch that came in had 35 staffs over half of which had hollowed areas and small holes dotting the length. They got rid of all 35 staffs and had to order another batch because they knew the entire order probably had been contaminated by the bugs.
