The Muay Thai fighters are know for their shin strikes and jow is known for it's elbow techniques (bao jong) as a matter of fact i believe there is an idiom written some place which describe to use of Jow Ga's elbows. Again my memory is getting bad as i get older, have a daughter graduating college which is true sign your getting old , but anyways i would like to learn more about jow ga's elbow emphasis. I even remember SiGung Chan Man Cheung's visit to the Takoma Park school when he described how the jow ga fighters would use the elbow techniques against the thai boxers.
