The story of martial-arts master Ip Man, the man who trained Bruce Lee. The original movie on grandmaster Yip Man. However Wong Kar Wai took too long to start filming and was shortcut by Wilson Ip's version of the movie first. This movie's budget is approximately 10x the budget of Donnie Yen's Ip Man.
Featuring legendary director Wong Kar Wai (王家衛), one of the best Kung Fu choreographer ever Yuen Woo Ping (袁和平). Main casts includes one of the greatest actor ever from Hong Kong Tony Leung Chiu Wai (梁朝偉)﹐ Zhang ZiYi (章子怡)﹐ MMA / San Shou / San Da Fighter Cung Le.
Pending release date for this movie is on the upcoming Cannes International Film Festival.
And the person who plays Tony Leung's stunt double is none other than my master, SiFu Henry Araneda.
He was in China for 1.5 months doing all the filming, and 6 months ago he was in Hong Kong training Tony Leung on Wing Chun for a week full time.
