so called sifu "maoshan" vs muy thai nakmeezy. this guy maoshan supposedly been training his whole life, he teaches people and from the video, this guy maoshan shows no skill, no technique, no nothin imo and hes sifu

the rest of the tournament is on youtube under use "manupstandup"

This is precisely what we see often. People pretending or thinking they can fight as a sport or in real life even though they may know or perform forms and show techniques in a demo. In most of those fights, and thanks God we have YouTube now, you can see no footwork, no pugilistic techniques and once knocked down all the great knowledge is gone. Last night I was checking some fights and saw Seal the Deal, Wingchun practitioner and I finally saw someone using what he knows and adapt himself to ground fighting.

Ouch! That was just sad. I agree with MIG. This is major issue with most kung fu practitioners (yes, I said it). Most do not train to actually fight and believe that by doing endless forms that when they need it they will actually be able to fight.

If you ever want to see if you art works, put the gloves on and get in the ring with Muay Thai fighter or a grappler. In 5 seconds you will learn BIG lesson

What really bugs me is that when someone loses, they claim, "I couldn't really use the REAL techniques from my system." BS, even within the confines of a rules based situation you still should be able to defend yourself.

Actually doing full contact is VERY different. Since full contact would be what an actual street fight would be.....

no no no, he was "humbled" not being humble lol nakmeezy changed him forever with his fists

gung fu people are just like alot of other traditionalists, stuck in their ways and content, but are more then happy to critique and open their mouth

which is what this guy did, twice actually, the first time he fought on youtube it was in the street lol and he was tooled by a weaker opponent then nakmeezy.
