Hello all

I’m Tom Bayley formally known as Tomhungkuen. I have my own class now so it’s about time to stand up and be counted. I have also written two books on martial arts (currently doing the rounds of the publishers.) I am based in west London.

I have a website (Westlondonkungfu.com) that says a little more about me and the branch of hung kuen that I practice.

Looking forward to reading your insights on the forum. Can you tell us a little about your books?

Both books are about martial arts in general rather than any art in particular

The first book is for complete beginners. It tells them how navigate the maze of different arts to find the one that they are looking for. It then tells them how to recognise an instructor that is safe, knows their art and wont rip them off.

The second book is a practical guide to learning skills as applied to martial arts. Rather than teaching technique it teaches how to learn better from the instructor.

Sounds like interesting fields Tom Bayley, the second looks like something I would buy.
