Hey, posted here because i don't know where else to do it. Was curious if anyone had any info on an Okinawan arts teacher named Kayo Ong(Kow Loon Ong).

His school is in Manhattan.

by his site, he looks like he has a good outlook. A friend of mine is starting with him soon, and I'd like to make sure that he is the real deal. Any info would be appreciated.

Although this is an old post, I thought I'd put an answer in for future reference.

I had the chance to train with his group at their summer training in Colorado Springs. Not only is he very legit and the real deal, he was very gracious to me as I was an "outsider" who'd been invited by one of his senior students in Colorado.

I have over 20 years in Goju under an instructor that spent 15 years in okinawa. I really liked what I saw. Old school goju like I've learned.

Kayo's one of the few people who've used it for real. He teaches goju because he knows it works.
