The Saam Jit Gwan/ Three Sectional Staff is Lee Koon Hung Choy Li Fut. The Saam Jit Mui Fa Gong Bin/ Three Sectional Plum Flower Steel Whip is from Lam Family Hung Kyun. Also, it is a different type of weapon.

Well, I went to the Hong Kong Lee Koon Hung Choy Lay Fut Association page:

They have a highly informative website, and a list of sets they teach at various levels, but from what I saw was written, the only formal name they have for their Three Sectional Staff is "Sam Ji Guen" (Saam Jit Gwan 三节棍).
As Lee Siu Hung, Mak Hin Fai, or Buck Sam Kong might have other information that whoever put up the HK website might not be aware of, you may do well to introduce yourself, drop an email, and make inquiry with their gyms directly.

Also, as they are actually a branch of Hung Sing Choy Li Fut, any time you meet a senior of that school, you may ask him if their set is the same, and if so, what is the name of it.

Frankly, the name that you already have might just be the long and short of it. Some sets don't always have a formal "name" (although if asked, the name Mui Fa/ "Plum Flower" can also work quite handily).
